Doing whatever it takes to keep families together. Making sure a family stays together no matter what issues they're facing is the mission of the Youth Multi-Agency Integrated Services (Youth MIST). Through a collaborative partnership, the team's goal is to not only help heal a child, but provide necessary resources and services to the entire family.
Who We Serve
Youth MIST helps children who are dealing with behavioral health and social challenges and are at-risk of being remove from their homes or are in the process of being reunified with their families. Through a unique, partnership between KernBHRS, Kern County Department of Human Services and Kern County Probation Department, an array of intensive services are available to each child to help set up goals and a path to recovery.
Family Component
A strong support system is critical to helping a child overcome their struggles. It's one reason that our services and resources extend to a child's entire family. This holistic approach has been proven to bring stability and hope while helping a family navigate their challenges.
